Korea Site Logistics Team Chang-Hoon Ji- Q. What's your current job?
- I am in charge of finalizing and ordering the quantity of products that need to be shipped in Korea, and managing inventory. Among them, my main job is to manage warehouse, goods in-and-out, and shipping. When the products manufactured by the production team are loaded into the warehouse, they will be shipped based on the first-in-first-out basis. Our team consisting logistics experts is doing our best to deliver parts to the production line and to ensure the finished products are shipped to the customer in a timely manner.
- Q. What qualifications and abilities are required to perform the job?
- While I am in charge of logistics, sometimes there are a lot of variables. A problem with partners may cause production delay in case parts are not delivered in a timely manner, or an urgent need for delivery is required due to an emergency order. The most rewarding moments are when I estimate these variables in advance. All the time, I share what is going on with my team not to cause any trouble in parts production, and deliver products in time through selected logistics companies.
- Q. When do you feel rewarding at work?
- From procurement of raw materials to freight transport, storage, loading, packing, etc., I would like to build efficient logistics system in every move of goods. I think I have a lot of knowledge, but still have a lot more to learn from logistics. Ultimately, I want to be a logistics expert and a key person in the company with my continuous learning.
- Q. What is your dream to realize with Valeo Kapec?
- If you're looking for a job in the automobile industry, Valeo Kapec is the company everybody would like to work for. The production capacity of torque converter is the world's best, a key part of automotive transmission, which is installed in all finished vehicles at home and abroad. In case a problem occurs in the process line, I immediately solve the problem to prevent low production efficiency. And I am excited to work for a world-class company.
